Kelly has been in the field of psychology since 1994 when she was in undergraduate school at UWF.  She is a trained psychometrist with several decades of psychological testing experience.  She has been employed in a variety of jobs that have given her a wider berth of experience such as being a provider network representative for Tricare, a case manager and inpatient therapist in psychiatric hospital settings, working with runaway, ungovernable, and truant teens, providing services to children who were placed in the care of Dept. of Children & Families, to being a director of therapeutic communities for prisons in Northwest Florida.  She has served on several committees through the years including the Program Development Committee with the Emerald Coast Children’s Advocacy Center.  She is currently serving on the Board of Directors for ASHA (Advanced Sacred Hope Academy).  She has been in private practice successfully since 2003.  That private practice has become a growing group practice.

Kelly has a passion for helping others and improving the services that are available for those in need in the Northwest Florida area. She has a deep commitment to the military community and to the first responders.

Kelly is a proud military brat that grew up all over the world and finally found her home in Fort Walton Beach, FL.  She has two daughters.  She encourages those that she supports and supervises to self-care and to know their core.  She enjoys volunteering, paddle boarding, boating, skiing, scuba diving, and much more.  She has a passion for animals and children.  Kelly has served on several mission teams and as Chair of a Missions Committee.

Kelly’s therapeutic specialties include trauma, mood disorders, ADHD, anger management, work/life balance, peri-natal depression, clinical mental health evaluations, forensic assessments, women’s issues, and much more.  She is also a Florida Qualified Supervisor and provides supervision to FL Registered Mental Health Counselor Interns along with Masters Level Interns.

As a Florida Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern, I passionately advocate for self-care and mental wellness while working collaboratively with clients to empower and build resilience and achieve mental health goals in a safe, empathetic space for healing and self-empowerment. I am prepared to assist individuals in coping and managing emotional, behavioral, and psychological challenges.

I specialize in anxiety and stress management for adults, teens, and children. I have experience working with individuals struggling with addictions and have discovered a love of helping people in this capacity. A resilient individual is able to withstand or recover quickly from challenging life events. Let me help you become more resilient.

Life is a beautiful journey, but there are moments when it can seem too overwhelming to navigate alone. Sometimes you need to reach out to someone who can help you find your way forward.

My name is Christina. I have a Master of Science in counseling and psychology. I am a mental health therapist on a mission to help heal the hearts and minds of others.

As a former high school teacher, I have an extensive understanding of the daily stress experienced by children and adolescents. Helping to guide them through these stressors while strengthening their mental and emotional perseverance is my gift. Additionally, I am a culturally competent counselor who is professionally fluent in English and Portuguese, proficient in Spanish and Italian. I find true joy in working with clients from diverse backgrounds, especially those who may be underserved in the mental health community.

I also have experience in working with young adults and the elderly as well as children and

adolescents who have been victims of abuse, abandonment, and neglect. My professional and personal experience with trauma enables me to reach the depths of empathy required for

these children and adults to evolve from victims to survivors.

In my practice I provide individual therapy, family therapy, and parental consultations. I have extensive training in play and sand therapy and in treating trauma, depression, anxiety, and

mood instability. I work intensely towards building a strong and trusting therapeutic alliance with individuals under my care so that they can feel safe, respected, and accepted unconditionally. It is this therapeutic alliance that enables an individual to begin the hard but

rewarding therapeutic process.

Under my care, you are not a number in a system. You are a person who deserves a therapist’s complete attention, empathy, and commitment. If you feel weighed down by feelings of uncertainty or distress, come to see me. Together, we can work to identify and treat the root causes of your difficulties and create a new opportunity

for a life with rich experiences and joyful memories.

We all experience times in our lives where we feel static or struggle to work through something that has arisen or happened in the past.  I take an honest existential approach to therapy and meet you where you are.  I have completed a B.A. in Psychology, a Master's in Education and a Master's in Counseling.
I enjoy working with individuals, adults, adolescence, & children as well as couples, and families.  I have experience in helping people move through life transitions and specific concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, mood and stress related disorders.
Therapy is an investment you make in yourself, and the lives of those in your circle of influence, enhancing the quality of your relationships.  Let’s connect and give you the space to share and move forward with confidence to manage your feelings, experiences and to make a better life for you.
